The ultra-thin light box with light guide plate is a new type of advertising carrier developed inspired by LCD TVs and drawing on the backlight technology of LCD TVs. It is called "ultra-thin light box" in the industry, but it is not a light box. It is more appropriate to call it "luminous advertising billboard". Its characteristics are as follows:
1. It has a beautiful appearance, with a thickness generally less than 3 centimeters, maximizing space utilization, beautifying the environment, and expanding its application range.
2. The bright light output is completely flat and almost perfectly uniform, completely eliminating the common bright and dark light marks of ordinary light boxes. Its excellent optical characteristics not only widely used in public places, but also expand its application in high-tech fields such as precision display, photography and medical viewing, scientific research, and high standard lighting, with effects comparable to LCD displays.
3. Another commendable advantage of it is energy saving. Due to the use of advanced light guide plate lighting technology, its power consumption is only 23% of that of a regular light box with the same screen area. Calculated based on 10 hours of electricity consumption per day for a 1M2 screen area light box, the annual power consumption of a regular light box is nearly 900 kWh, while the annual power consumption of an ultra-thin light box is only 200 kWh, saving 77% of electricity. The saved electricity cost in that year alone can recoup the investment.
4. The ultra-thin light box uses specially designed high brightness and high-quality fluorescent tubes with an average service life of over 8000 hours, and dedicated cold cathode tubes with an average service life of over 15000 hours. The service life of the tubes used in ultra-thin light boxes is 5 to 10 times that of ordinary tubes, and the extended service life greatly saves maintenance costs.
5. The ultra-thin light box widely adopts imported high-quality aluminum alloy open type overall frame structure, equipped with movable hooks or hanging holes, making the installation and image replacement of the light box simple, fast, labor-saving, time-saving, and cost-effective.
